The Diversity and Inclusion Committee (DINC) of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee (IITR) Board of Governors is constituted to appreciate and attract diverse talent, multi-variant culture and values among the entire Institution Community, and improve the existing Faculty/ Non-Faculty/ Students' engagement program within the Institute. The aim of constituting DInC is for all individuals in the Institute to be truly representative of all sections of society and for each of them to feel respected and able to give their best. Through the efforts of DInC, the Institute strives to cultivate an organizational culture and a workspace that is inclusive, equitable, and conducive to learning.

During the Workshop session, our objective is to provide insights into the anticipated future emphasis of institutions and organizations on diversity and inclusion. The Invited Experts will delve into the associated factors that will inspire diversity and inclusion in the workplace, recognizing its significant impact on fostering an equitable environment. Additionally, we will explore the measures our Institute may explore to promote diversity and inclusion, highlighting specific initiatives that will drive this agenda forward. At the end, an Expert Panel will discuss the scope for Diversity and Inclusion Policy as it pertains to the future generation, envisioning a future where diverse perspectives and backgrounds will be embraced and valued.
